when the tide of the ocean rises
i see the day fades and my life grows shorter
when i see the sky darken,
i know the nightingale will be singing soon
when i feel my gaze drop to the ground
i know i have failed that day
when i see the ray of light on the horizon
i know another day is coming,
and my heart rises to the thought of redemption
and another chance to make right

i take it and move on,
like a scoop of icecream on the ground,
you cant pick it up and eat it
all you can do is buy another one and enjoy a new flavor of life
glad or sad is a choice that we all make
